And vice versa! Just because someone has been accused or convicted it doesn't always mean that they are truly guilty and did it.

I'm not saying that Neil fox is guilty because I don't know, I wasn't in the jury room. But for you to automatically assume that the women are false accusers is wrong. Unless there is evidence to prove that all 6 women are lying!! or they have admitted to lying.
Than it's really not right for you to instantly announce them as false accusers with out any prove!
Ahh sorry.... maybe i should re word it....

I think the only thing that would bring a voice is if false accusers we're taken to court for what they do..

My personal opinion is that changing how cps think and do things isn't going to help massively (it will only turn round with the accusers saying that things hadn't been investigated properly or something) but i think it needs to be made publicly aware that making a false allegation IS a crime and YOU WILL be punished for it, my OH's FA is totally unaware of the perverting the course of justice and i'm certain that if she was she would never of made the allegation..... hopefully next year she'll have a bit of a surprise!! (but according to what i read on here... doubt it )

Having followed this closely (due to my own circumstances)..I am glad he got not guilty!
Now I saw someone post 'how do we know he didn't do it' etc?
We don't is the simple answer!
But having heard the evidence (or lack of it!) i came to my own conclusions!!

This is another fine example though of at what point does the law change on keeping anonymous until proven guilty??
So many famous people having their names dragged through the mud, then once cleared, they are left with a big old mess!!!

The whole set up needs changing imo

    Not guilty

He has been Found not guilty after his case has been heard and all facts of case heard not just an allegation and put in front of the press. Surely thats enough in a court of law Also I think you will find it was trial by judge. Yes there are miscarriages of justice but it seems quite quick to jump to that conclusion without knowing the facts

    Here we go again.
I just hope that people will begin to realize that high profile and celebrity cases are only the tip of the ice berg and that there are thousands of ordinary mortals stuck in this pergatory.

And once again there are unnecessary personal comments.

I'm sure of the much criticised police and CPS carried out thorough investigations there would be no need for any of these trials .

Proven false accusers should serve equivalent jail terms and lose everything too.

    Neil Fox

Good Result. Im sure anyone going through or out the other side will identify with Neil Fox. I could physically feel his pain and that of his wife. Their emotion was raw and real. Its been an awful harrowing experience for them. I think its been heard in Magistrate due to the actual charges, which dont have to be committed to,Crown.

Having followed the case I feel his words that its a flytrap, set by police is whats brought the whole case to court. CPS have a lot to answer for. It seems judges like to leave a slight tang to,the case when they come out with comments that he beleives accusers but doesnt think anything illegal went on That seems quite crass to me.

Hey Soulbug - Good to hear from you.

I agree - I watched & listened with interest this afternoon/evening and can certainly identify with Mr Fox's emotional state. One can only hope that this again highlights the wastefulness of the "fingers crossed" approach that the Police & CPS often appear to take when charging cases where the only "evidence" is a statement(s)......A circumstance that would see almost any other criminal investigation closed without further action.

Don't know if anyone can answer this (RF?) but I noticed that this was heard in Magistrates' Court....why was it not referred up to Crown Court?

    Best Wishes

Good result indeed and just maybe the witch hunt is ending but I cannot understand how the judge can say that he believes the accusers but was not convinced anything illegal had gone on, one of the accusers was 14.

I watched the BBC news video of Neil reading out a written statement , He mentions at the end , he is now going for a drink ! I bet it will of been the best drink of his life , tonight he will be on top of the world , normality will of been resumed !

Good for him anyone that has ever been falsely accused will truly understand how he is feeling today , the emotion in his voice will ring true to all those that have ever been involved in proving ones innocence .

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35096615

Mr Fox, 54, from south-west London, had denied eight indecent assaults and two sexual assaults between 1988 and 2014, against women and girls as young as 14.

Westminster magistrates said the six alleged victims were believable but the bench "could not be sure that in the context it was a criminal offence".

The DJ and ex-Pop Idol judge said he had been "vindicated" and could not "wait to be broadcasting again".

In an emotional speech outside the court, he said the past 14 months had been "long, hard and stressful".

He thanked his friends, listeners and his family "who have stuck by me and lifted me up when I was falling down".

"This case has once again raised concerns about how high-profile cases such as this have been investigated by the CPS but this is not the time or the place to address these matters," he said.
Mr Fox, who has been off air since his arrest in September 2014, added that "a lot had been said and written" about him that would need to be "addressed and rectified".
