I haven’t posted for a few weeks so just though I would give a bit of an update to all the kind people who have given me so much wonderful advice and support at such a low point in my life........


But on a more positive note, I’m now seeing my children regularly, only for a couple of hours a week but even so that gives me something to look forward to......in fact that is the only thing in my life now that I do have to look forward to and it’s what keeps me from jumping off the nearest bridge!

Still no news good or bad on my case so its still a waiting game......

I’m still spending most of my time at work (about 12 to 14 hours a day 7 days a week) the days seem to just fly by! But best of all it takes my mind off things

However having said that the last few days have been a bit of a roller-coaster of emotions, Friday and Saturday being particularly bad days when something happened that brought back the reality of the situation that I find myself in and how much my life has changed.

But on a more positive note, I’m now seeing my children regularly, only for a couple of hours a week but even so that gives me something to look forward to......in fact that is the only thing in my life now that I do have to look forward to and it’s what keeps me from jumping off the nearest bridge!

My solicitor is going to get my bail conditions hearing adjourned to the end of next week, so I will be able to go to the contact tomorrow and Wednesday which I’m so looking forward to

Same thing happened to me

I have read your posts and you are going down exactly the same road as I travelled last year.

I was charged with 5 counts of raping my wife over last 20 years and found not guilty after a 11 day court trial.

The Police and CPS are to zealous to prosecute husbands for supposedly raping their wife's.

When the Police were original called to my house after a domestic dispute they straight away asked my wife if I had raped her during our marriage, which she answered yes.

My court case was a complete waste of tax payers money and everyone's time.

First my wife never once said the word rape in over a day and a half giving evidence either in her video statement or on the witness stand.

Then the CPS Barrister told the jury about minor incidents that happened during my marriage were actually rape.

There were no witnesses or medical evidence to back up anything what the CPS said.

The whole purpose of the court case is for the CPS Barrister to paint a bad as possible picture about the accused in the jury's mind to find him guilty.

It did not really seem to be to important if I was guilty or not it was down to which Barrister's story the jury believed.

I can see why so many innocent people are sent to prison as it is all down to the jury who think in strange ways and even my Barrister could not predict the outcome of my trial on the last day.

If the Police and CPS do send you to trail it will be all down to what your wife says in her video statement and on the witness stand.

If she actually says you raped her and started crying then that is not a good sign as the jury will believe the women's story 10 times more than the man's story of events.

What was the worst thing about my case was that I had a 4 year restraining order placed on me stopping me from going anywhere near my ex-wife and kids even though I was found not guilty.

This order was imposed by the court following my wife concerns that I might seek revenge for being falsely accused of raping her.

Solicitor/barrister should be able to make representations to allow for this. Have you asked them about this?

I was in the same position last year when I had to go to Crown court for the false accusation and County court to try to have contact with my son.
I mentioned this to my Crown Court barrister and he told me that he could have change the trial date.

So sorry to read about your day, I totally know how you are feeling, I hope you can raise your spirits for your own and your children, I found looking at pictures of my children and recalling the things that were happening on them days make me smile, really hope Tuesday comes so quick for you and all goes well.

Today was a complete let down.....

Went to court this morning for the bail hearing, but nothing happened as they wouldn't hear the case for various reasons, so got to go back on Tuesday.

Also I had a contact with the children arranged for this afternoon but they didn’t turn up as my wife cancelled it! no one seems to know why, but I was sat in the centre waiting for half hour before being told they were not coming.

I was so looking forward to seeing them, now I have to wait till Tuesday…….

Oh browndown, I'm so sorry. I was really hoping for better news. Don't let it get the better of you. Hopefully this will be sorted next week. Can't imagine how you must be feeling, it's so sad.
