      please help please

Kermit has been found guilty on both charges and remanded to prison for 6weeks awaiting reports. I dont know what happening, both his accuser and her sister lied in court now my kermit has gone. The barrister is looking at appeal as the judge did not allow some information to be heard when the lying decietful b.tch told 5 people other things that the judge would not allow in court. She was not cross examined after the defence had us all in court.

Please can anyone tell me what to do? i dont know how to stop anything like direct debits on kermits account, do i need permission how do i get it, how do i transfer anything.

I pray for appeal and then pray kermit comes home were he belongs an innocent man.

The accuser's sister has already been putting things on a social network site.. It's so good when you get the result you want ! is what has been put. They have tried contacting my daughter asking how are you great result. I have printed all that off. I denied the lying cow to come live with us thats the real reason revenge because she did not get what she wanted. SPITEFUL LYING CONIVING B.TCHES THE BOTH OF THEM

I cant feel anything my body feels numb to auto pilot, please help me anyone i cant stop crying , my daughter is devestated her step dad has gone when he has not done this horrible crime.

        Bloody hell!

Kermit will have to write to the bank to authorise them to allow you to speak for him. You may need to take out an "Enduring Power of Attorney" - you can download this free from the internet.

You say the barrister is onto an appeal - that is good.

You are entitled to a reception visit so ring the prison and request a visit asap.

        I will email/PM you

You say that they are posting on FB. Make screenshots of everything that is being said and save into Word or image files. You should have had an email from me and I know RFLH will contact you soon.

              So sorry Kermit's partner.

When I was in, my folks took over all my bank stuff - I had to write a letter authorising them to act on my behalf. They'll need to know what prison he's in, his prison number, date of conviction/remand and length of sentence. Get him to write that letter and post it to you, or post it directly to his bank branch's address.

He may well be able to hand it out to you on your visit, but it's a long, drawn-out process to get something as simple as that arranged. He may well do to write a "to whom it may concern" version and you can then photocopy it and send it to the utillity companies so that they'll deal with you.

Hope that helps. Stick in there, some of us have been there from his side, others from yours.

Kermit, I have been following your thread and am so sad to hear your news. I am so sorry that this has happened to you all.

Good luck with your appeal and I will be thinking of you.

LS I think you were inside some time ago?

When my friend Rob was put into prison by his daughter in 2000 he had to write letters authorising me to take care of his affairs.

Since then, from what I understand from other people who have been left to pick up the pieces, they have had to take out an "Enduring Power of Attorney" to sort out the inmate's affairs. This may well have changed again though so Kermit, maybe you are best to approach each company individually to see how they do things.

Yes, I was in from 2006-2008. As far as I know my lot didn't do the Attorney thing (they wouldn't have had a clue). The bank just asked them for a letter from me stating where I was, why, and for how long.
As you say, best approach would be to contact the companies concerned, explain the situation, and let them state what they need.

For some strange reason I thought you were convicted years ago! I think I need another early night!

Maybe it depends on the company then. I know that several people had gone through the EPoA route in the last few years - maybe they did that but it wasn't actually necessary to do all that?

Perhaps Mrs K should contact the companies and ask them, I think just to clarify/confirm.

I've done that for someone else too - I know that when we were facing it we sorted out everything just in case the worst happened. We made 'A Book of Everything' that contained all accounts, logins, passwords, payments, bank details - the lot.

It became a well thumbed and invaluable source of information.

So sorry to hear this news Mrs Kermit. Have you got anyone to support you?
As the others have said, you are entitled to a reception visit. You can take him clothes and a few things along on the settlement visit. Every one of HM hotels has different rules, so check with the prison about what they will allow.

You can also set up a phone divert with your landline provider so that if you go out, you punch a code into your phone and any calls will divert to your mobile. Whoever is calling you pays the cost of the call to your landline and you are billed for the cost of the transfer. This means he will always be able to get hold of you even if you are in the supermarket.

He will need some money too - again ask the prison, but usually a postal order is best as cheques take a while to clear. You can also order a newspaper for him if you want to - most HMPs have a local newsagent who supplies inmates with papers/magazines. Ask the HMP who their supplier is.

With regard to bank accounts and direct debits - he has not yet been sentenced, so he can use this time to write formal letters giving you authorisation over his accounts, cancelling direct debits etc. You should be able to send him stamps, envelopes and writing paper for this but again check with the HMP because they often have different rules.

Well done on having the presence of mind to print off the social networking comments and saving any attempts of the accuser to contact your daughter.

Please look after yourself. Keep coming back.

Fortunately Mrs Kermit is not far from me so we've arranged to meet up on Thursday. I wish I had known as I would have attended the trial. Hopefully I can be there for sentencing. Another bloody stupid case where the jury clearly have serious learning difficulties........ (no offence to those who genuinely DO have learning difficulties of course).

I'm pleased that you live close to her RF, I know you will be a great comfort.
Mrs K, if you let me know where he is (via PM) I will send him a note. (If he wants me to of course - some find it a comfort.)
