Just had a call from Redscouse. For those who sent cards in to him and for those who posted up messages of support on here, he says "a massive thank you. They make all the difference to what otherwise would have been a really depressing time".
Praying hoping wishing 2016 is your year for justice. As depressing as this time of year can be its also full of hope and new starts. Good luck with your appeal look the future and hold on to the support you have.

I think you mean his retrial. His appeal succeeded on 16th October
Redscouse has just rung and would like to thank everyone for their continued support since his incarceration and sends his very best wishes for the New Year!
Hi RS, hoping 2016 is your year to celebrate and that the future is a brighter place for you, my thoughts have been with you throughout Christmas, your ordeal is coming to a head soon and then you can send your own messages on here. RF has done an amazing job keeping us all informed of your highs and lows, hopefully all highs from now on. This will be your time to shine, hang on in there we are with you.
I had a call from Red this morning. He's feeling positive about his retrial. For those who are new here, we won his appeal in October and he has to suffer a retrial. He is still in prison (on remand) as there is no suitable bail address).
He told me about the visits he has had from Paul Legg of Freemans' solicitors in London and also another visit from the barrister (same one who did the appeal).
I said to him "I bet that's more service you got than the first time around". He agreed wholeheartedly and said that his Defence Case Statement was now ten pages long. The one he had at the first trial was two pages. I told him that this will change and grow as more "disclosure" comes through. He sounded as upbeat as somebody possibly can in his situation.
He still says he really appreciates all the messages from members here and reads them every day.
So pleased to hear RS is in good spirit, and that things are coming together for him. Won't be long before he can be clatting away in here helping and supporting others that are living the nightmare. Your in our thoughts and prayers RS. Thank you Rights Fighter for keeping us informed on his progress, bless you.
It's nice that he is doing OK in the circumstances.
He has every reason to be positive. He was innocent then, he's innocent now.
We're all keeping everything crossed that the appeal will see sense.
Not over yet but not long now!
Wish he was bailed until it's over but won't be long.
Looking forward to seeing him on here with positive news.
Big hugs
YoH
Good luck RedScouse in my prayers always! Think positive, stay strong and this could be a whole new start for you. Remember you are innocent and you have a good sol this time, the odds are in your favour. Count down the days and look to the future, everyone here is right behind you. Hope to speak with you on here soon LP

Had a call yesterday from Red. He is sounding quite chipper which is good. He had had another visit from the retrial solicitor and barrister Dan goes in to see him in a couple of days too. We had a chat about the fab statement his brother has done - he will give evidence too so that will be good. I hope to meet him if I can find a cheap B&B to stay in during the trial.
