hello, hope everyone is ok. just an update. I managed to control myself better after the initial 2 weeks and generally got on with life as normal. still think about stuff everyday but thats natural I guess. I managed to speak to an excellent specialist lawyer face to face who put my mind at rest on a lot of things so that did help.

Received a call a few days ago from the OIC to say that she had completed the investigation and had passed it on to her sergeant for a decision and will give me a call to let me know what happens.....

this confused me slightly as I thought the passed it onto the CPS? or is that what she meant? so guess we will wait and see.
I have to say though that the OIC has handled this very professionally and I am pleased that she at least took the time to inform me of the process. so +1 to the police from me despite the position I am currently in.

Just an update to this thread.
I received a NFA today. Im very happy this is over for now. I am not sure how this will affect me going forward as I work with Children and I assume this will be marked on my CRB.

So whilst I no longer have to explain myself to the police , I will have to explain myself to every new employer going forward if it ever gets brought up....so yeh swings and roundabouts but happy that its at least resolved for now.

This thread is quite small but it took from march to November for my case to go through the process...

Congratulations - I wonder if you can that NFA changed to NC (no crime)? It's worth finding out .

I agree with whatsgoingon, have a word with the OIC about getting a no crime as then it should be less likely to be disclosed on your CRB checks. Good luck for the future!
