Nights in White Satin - one of the first records I bought - not sure why, cos we didn't have a record player .......... and for my sins the other one was <whispers> Pictures of Matchstick Men by Status Quo, guess that's why they're still playing the same crud all these years on!
And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..

The albums I never seem to be fed up to listen to are:

The Cure:Faith,The head on the door,Kiss me Kiss me Kiss me and Disintegration
      Serge Gainsbourg:Histoire de Melody Nelson
      Kid Loco:A grand Love Story
      Bjork:Vespertine
      Portishead: Dummy
      Nine Inch Nails:The downward spiral
Depeche Mode:Speak and spell,Music for the masses and Violator

The soundtrack of "Lost Higway" from David Lynch

      Otherwise I quite like:

      The Dave Brubeck Quartet:Time out
Booker T and the M.G.s:Green onions
      Cream: Disraeli Gears
      Fukadelic:Maggot Brain
      Lou Reed:Transformer

I must listen again to Zappa,Queen,Rod Stewart,...
      To be continued...
      Non,je ne regrette rien.

We would sing No Regrets together - years ago I was a professional singer and this was one of 'my songs'. I was known as the Edith Piaf (and Shirley Bassey) of the West Midlands....

I have the one in your link by Bassey and Nana Mouskouri.....'If you go away......'

I actually have a keyboard believe it or not! I don't think it's as good as yours, but it would do the trick

                      Don't you know about Beatbox?
                      You will have to improvise.

I’d have to travel with my music though.......let’s see how W&C goes first.

Let’s hope people on here will leave him alone when asking for personal support from him while he is on his run-up to trial......

Nope - no idea about that. What's that about? Please don't put a link up about it though cos I honestly don't have time to study it..... Just explain it...

Might not be people on here so much at the moment...I know of a certain someone who has phoned him for a whinge despite being asked politely on their own thread not to persist...

Oh no......how can people be so selfish......their time will come when they need help and people won't be so happy to assist if they continue in that way......

Yay! I'm in a band.. we do about 3 gigs a month the last 4 an a half years.... Played on Friday at Shepperton... real loud rock n roll pub... we're kind of electric bluegrass and rock n roll... mostly our own tunes, I play electric fiddle and Fender Tele electric geetar through a very nice little valve amp and the PA...

We made a particularly tidy job of Neil Young's Rockin in the Free World on Friday.

Played again last night with my 72 yr old veteran picker mate, and a nice lady on banjo and her brother on bass, at a Woody Guthrie centenary celebration in a folk n blues club in South London.... good to catch up with a bunch of old friends... without the support of whom, etc. etc. ...

Anyway, just sayin' ... God only knows where I'd be at without it.... I've been getting pangs of despair, and missing her sometimes... Don Henley's End of the Innocence is very romantic and pertinent,,, too sad... best not to listen to that stuff... I fear if I were to start to cry again, it would prove fatal this time...

I'm walking 5 or 10 miles most days, along by the river... and maintaining my healthy salad eating regime... doing lots of situps, and losing a kilo a week. ... the body is loooking real good, (though I say so myself,) and I'm feeling teriffic....

Good to read the thread.... best wishes, all.... grinnin from ear to ear here.....

Oh, RF, I finally got it together with my Formal Letter of Complaint.... the walks , or a cycle of a few days walking is great for my head... I can put the world to rights in my head while I'm walking... yesterday, after ten miles, I came in, had a cuppa, got bored, and knocked out the letter, all bullet pointed, reference dated and factual.. no worries... d'you know, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yay!
Faith, I'll keep you posted on developments...

So, BDC, you're French? .. That figures.. such a romantic accent to us brits...
