I was arrested due to a false rape allegation.

I brought home a girl after a night out and we were getting quite touchy feely then went upstairs and had sexual intercourse for seconds before her boyfriend called her, to which I had no idea about and she had lied and said she was single. I became very angry and kicked her out. The next morning I was greeted with the arrest.

Later that day after giving my story I was released under further investigation.

She has 0 evidence against me but all I can think about is the worst outcome and I am terrified and really emotional.

Her word against mine.

Can somebody help? Maybe some truth or reassurance?

If you search through the history of the site, you will encounter no end of tales such as yours and by way of some reassurance, you will also see that the majority of these cases go no further than an investigation. While this can't be guaranteed, those that are proactive in their defence are often more successful so well done for finding us.

An experienced Solicitor is always the best person to talk to, did you have the duty solicitor? Did you feel you gave a good account of yourself?

Write everything down in a timeline, were there any witnesses such as taxi drivers? Is there likely to be any CCTV of you together?
