  • Request text and call itemslisaion

Hi all, this is a great forum and I have been reading for a long time.

My phone has been sent off for forensic analysis by the police.

My question is can I request my itemlistion from my provider or would this be considered interference? Most providers let you view this information freely online however mine doesn't unless you are paying for that service.

So I'd have to write a letter to the service provider requesting this and paying a small fee.. then just hope they can give me the last 12 months bills showing the times and phone numbers calls and texts were sent and received.

I cant see this being a problem but I want to make 100% sure first.. thanks in advance

    Ask your solicitor.

They will be best placed to let you know.

Although I don't think there is a problem in getting that itemisation, because you cant 'change' the details of what calls or txts were sent.

however, the problems could arise if anyone you called/textd then say you made contact with them....this is risky ^^ as the police would then be able to prove you had that information in front of you.

so yeh...speak to the solicitor ^^

If the police have your phone, I take it you were interviewed.... you didn't have a solicitor in interview???

Check the thread for recommended lawyer in your local area.

I suggest the ones in my signature for London and the south east, but there are many others you can choose from. But do get one on board before you do anything.

I messed up and didn't take a solicitor to the vountanty interview. I'm now not sure if I should wait until I hear back about my phone. I'm scared tof start interfering. There will be texts that were deletedoing which will show she is telling lies. But having read here about things being taken out of context I am worried. So I wanted to try get itemlisation for 2 reasons.. to show the sheer amount of texts which would be thousands. But also to figure out time lines

          Thanks again

There is absolutely nothing to stop you from trying to obtain evidence that would help your defence providing you do not speak to any potential witnesses in the case. Writing for itemisation is not going to breach that so I would go ahead.

If you are re-interviewed please make sure you have a decent solicitor (free) with you.

Which area were you interviewed in?

Thanks for the replies and information. Rights fighter. . I feel a but starstruck as I've read probably every thread on this forum and have seen all the time and effort you put in here.. it's amazing. Thank you

I'm actually scared to post much as my case as mine is kind of unique . I'm a mess at the minute and lost over a stone in weight. I'm desperate to talk to someone but don't know who or how.

              Thanks again

You don't have to give the exact town. Maybe the area in the UK? North West / north east etc etc

I am trying to work out a decent solicitor in the area in case you are called back in.

                      Thanks rights fighter, much appreciated

To request the info I need to write to customer data disclosure team. It's my own account in my name.. won't need a solicitor for that then? I'm only requesting incoming and outgoing texts . Time and number. Also outgoing calls

                      Thanks

I can't think of any reason why you cannot do this yourself. If they do not come good you could try making a SAR - Subject Access Request:

                        https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/personal-information/

                        A sort of template: https://ico.org.uk/media/for-the-pub..._a_request.doc

Just ask for absolutely everything from before and after the alleged incident:

Itemised calls to and from - all numbers

                            Length of calls

Any redials (to and from if possible) and length of call / time in between.

Obviously I don't know your case so cannot say exactly what it is you need - hence the suggestion for everything.

Not sure if they can provide records of text messages (SMS and MMS) but worth an ask for that as well.

Your phone may provide helpful evidence even if things have been deleted.

                              Thanks again, RF.

From what I can gather from speaking to the network provider.. they can only supply me with out going calls and incoming/outgoing text numbers and time not content. And they aren't obliged so it might be pot luck. But it's worth a try.

Apparently if a solicitor requests they can obtain more info
