Ring them and ask to speak to somebody who deals with the transcription of crown court hearings.

Have the details you need with you:

Trial number: Starts with a "T" then the year before trial or year of trial then followed by 5 more digits: name of judge; name of defendant; dates of trial from and to.

Can he afford to pay privately or would this be on LA?

I ask as LA will barely pay for anything, so most of the donkeywork you would need to do yourself.

      You will need:

Trial counsel's written Advice on Appeal

If possible buy the judge's summing up (JSU) from the trial transcribers.

This is precisely the reason why I suggest that people keep to the same thread instead of posting more than one.

It's just so difficult for some of us, who are trying to help as many people as possible, to work out which story relates to whom, when they are scattered over various threads.

Hopefully CH will be able to join your threads together then we can see the whole story. He's good at doing that
