  • Any help would be great.

Hi i was wondering if I could trouble anyone for a small bit of advice? I have obtained a copy of a private Facebook message convo from a relative of mine, it is between my accuser and her Mum, the convo took place 3 weeks after this alleged historic allegation in the convo it contradicts her statement massively how would I be able to use this convo?
    Thank you

DO NOT GIVE TO THE POLICE!

Hand a copy of this evidence to your solicitor.

Noo would definitely not pass on to the police, was just under the impression we could not use it as it was a private convo and neither of the convo participants offered the convo is was obtained by other means.

How was it obtained? A few years back I obtained PM evidence and that was used at trial. Neither party was aware that I had screenshot it. There was no problem with that at all........

The accusers Mum asked someone to open her a Facebook account as she couldn't work the thing, he still had the details on his comp and came across it when he heard the allegation was made.

I can't see a problem with that at all.

One case a couple of years back, the def knew his accuser's FB password so asked the sol if it was ok for him to make use of it. The answer was "yes" you're entitled to build a defence". So he did........ it's not as though he hacked into her account using nefarious means such as spyware.
