  • Some advice please?

Hi the FA in the case involving my partner has dropped out however the police are still trying to go ahead with the case with no statements etc. Is there any reason they are doing this?

It depends on the reason why she withdrew her statement / retracted. If she says it's because she can't face a trial, or is too unwell to face a trial, they may still plough ahead, and hope she participates in the future.

Obviously, if she admits it's lies it wouldn't go any further. It seems that in your case, that didn't happen.

FA has dropped all charges and doesn't want to go forward with case is what my partner was told when he went for re-bail but the police said they were still sending what they had, which is one conversation between them confirming they had intercourse and dna evidence to cps

Dropping the charges is not the same as saying that the alleged offence did not happen.

All it means is that she will not support a prosecution. They can still go ahead, depending on whether:

        a) she said it didn't happen, or

        b) that it did, but she just wants to drop it and move on.
