You should always take an accusation such as this seriously, it doesn't mean that if it does go to court they have enough evidence to find you guilty. I'd be wondering about the real motives behind this , you'd be amazed how a' picture' can be built up of fragments (albeit wrong ones). I'd advise you to be proactive -gather as much evidence in your favour and write everything down that happened taht night and your interactions with the police.

There is another, serious point... if the girl was agressed and it wasn't you , the other guys getting away scot free.

Regarding the photo's ID's and CCTV stills; it is factual that to a white person there is a broad similarity in black male facial features where these are in a similar age group.

I guess that this has worked against you as well as for you, though a barrister will easily build a defence on these grounds if any case is brought, if the photo ID is the only evidence there is.
