my husband is in crown court tomorrow lm told its just for his plea which he his pleading not guilty and then a date is set for trial, after that we can work on a defence statements etc , do the cps look at the statements again or does it go straight to court and how long will we have to wait for it to go to trial

The plea hearing is generally over in a heartbeat. It consists of pleas being entered and any legal arguments. The judge may check on the prosecutions progress and any disclosure your legal team still require could also be raised.

The time between plea hearing and trial varies and you will still have a fair time to wait and prepare
Good luck for tomorrow. Won't be nice hearing the charges but head high and firm 'not guiltys'

Good luck for tomorrow - tell him to walk with his head high and to the best of his ability - speak loud and clear.
And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..
