  • Bad news..

I have been informed my my solicitor that i will be charged when i return to answer bail. I need somebodies advice on a barrister that will be instructed. If Rightsfighter is about i would like to run a name past her

    Lee,
    I'm angry to hear this.
One positive thing is that you will get to see the false accuser's statement and can start to pull it apart.
We are all here to support and help you through this debacle.

Hi Verity. It has been a tough day. I really want to see the statement so i can do just that.

I have been told that it could take 7 months to get to trial. that would be almost 2 years in total! Not feeling so ggod at the moment. I'm a little bit numb.

Your time scale sound similar to ours, on bail for a year and then 8 months til trial, it feels so unfair for it to have such a hold on your life for so long. If you're anywhere near Birmingham I know a good barrister who is specialised in false claims and you can view his cv online. Take care x

Not sure whether I should post the sol and barrister we had at our trial in Birmingham...I can PM their names if you want. They were dreadful, so please avoid them like the plague!

Lee, sorry it has come to this...but now you can start doing something postive and assemble your defence. You can go through the statements with a fine-toothed comb and pick them to shreds.

          Stay strong x

Lee has my email address so he can email me the area the trial will be held.

Yes please! Although not sure what we could really do about it with 7 weeks to go, fingers crossed it's not ours as they have seemed so on the ball and have picked so many holes! Though i suppose you don't find out until you are in court! xx

Lee im gutted to hear your bad news. I know you must be feeling very deflated and angry.try to stay as positive as possible. She may back out before court, and if it does go to court remember you have a good chance of winning. There's good reason why so many are found not guilty in court. If you haven't been brave enough to read the sticky about prison yet, then I suggest you do, it calmed me down a lot when I finally found the courage to read it. But it's not going to come to that I hope. Keep your chin up.

I'm so sorry to hear your news - but time to get your kicking boots on, get hold of all the now tangible statements (I guess it would have been going around and around not knowing what had been said by her), take it to bits line by bloody line.
                      Good luck to you
