Husband falsely accused

Hello.

so long story…
3.5yrs ago my husband was accused of 2 accounts of rape which is historical, from two family members. They are both claiming to be children at the time and my husband over 18. They have said it happened over 3 years. Two of the years I was already with my husband and one of the years I was living with him in his parents house.
The case was dropped due to lack of evidence.
so 3.5yrs later the case it reopened with a new person in charge. They said the case was not investigated properly and new evidence has come to light. This new evidence is statements from their family and friends saying that had mentioned abuse.
We are so broken, the stress of it all has come rushing back. My husband is saying some worrying things about jumping off a bridge as he can’t go through this again. I just don’t know what to do. I’m with my husband 110%

Hello and welcome to the forum although as always, I am sorry you find yourself here.

You don't say if your husband has been charged or not but either way there is no need to panic or assume that the worst will happen. I have known plenty of cases that either didn't make it to court or ended with a NG verdict.

Your support will be most valuable to your husband but equally important is working closely with a good solicitor. Take one step at a time and be kind to yourselves along the way.

I'm afraid the forum isn't very busy these days and you may not get many replies but if you make use of the search facility and have a good root around, you should find plenty of good advice from our past members.
