Enhanced DBS Check - UK

So 3 years on and I'm still finding life difficult. Crippling depression anxiety all the side effects one can think of.

My case went all the way to court and I was found not guilty.

I'm trying to get back into work however the roles require an enhanced DBS check.

Couple of questions. Will the charge appear on a enhanced check and can I get this removed or do I need to wait 5 years for the charge to be spent ?

I'm confused as it wasn't a conviction.

Any advice would be great.

The answer is it all depends. If the police believe that the details of your case need to be reveal on the enhanced CRB check they will do it. If they don't feel it is relevant they may not disclose it. There is not a 100% guarantee it will appear. I believe you may be able to ask for the CRB check to come to your house first and then you Ok it to be supplied to the third party. This allows you to see what the police say before you continue with you job application. if you are not happy with the police revealing information you can appeal and ask it to be removed but I don't believe these appeals are very successful.
