  • son falsely accused of rape

hi just aquick update for my son.s appeal process . we are still waiting for the transcripts from the courts,, to new solicitor any ideas [ rights fighter ] how long this takes . he has also engaged an independent urologist , to examine my son .who is willing to give evidence in court on his findings. as the accuser told the court my son urinated into a bush after he raped her. this was apparently a very important factor for the prosecution.so the past barrister has said in his written advice on appeal .he said the accuser would hardly have made it up .and his suggestions are if we want to appeal with new a defence team. we need new evidence to prove he can,t urinate standing up. and as my son was born with spina bifida and hasn.t been able to urinate standing up for a lot of years.so hopefully this will help us ..

It depends whether or not you are paying privately or on public funding.

If publicly funded, the sols have had to send an argument to the LSC to obtain the relevant trial transcripts then that can take a couple of weeks for the funding to come through, if LSC do not try to argue against it. If they do then obviously it will take longer.

Once funding is through then it can take a few weeks depending on how busy the transcribers are. The transcripts don't come from the court. They have to be transcribed which is time-consuming.
