      It's them that's regarding!

When are they gonna stop linking FA with genuine rape victims. They have nothing in common and I think it's the single biggest reason why there is little motion on righting this wrong because the end of a statement is its close and if it's about genuine rape victims, then the focus is moved onto them and you can consider the statement hijacked and not worth a penny.

This is why plod use this tactic EVERY time when they make a statement how the media.
Police and subsequently the CPS "take every piece of evidence and try to extract the most negative connotations for their presentations in court". It's their job to help Judges fill those jails.

Totally agree, Ivor! A rapist is not the same as a FA, a person who has been raped is not the same as a person who has been falsely accused. They are totally different crimes, done for different reasons. They should be treated as different crimes and not linked. A genuine rape should not be taken leniently, just to stop an innocent person being jailed, but equally, a false accuser should not be let off lightly, just to stop genuine victims reporting a rape. Every case must be treated individually and on a level playing field. Hope that makes sense!
