Court charge of up to £1,200 for criminals revealed

Has anyone seen this news report?


I can see innocent people like myself could be encouraged to plead guilty to avoid the risk of higher payments and its not even means tested.

So how people without a job meant to pay them?

You beat me to it - just seen this. For those who can't afford to pay - apart from making a false confession they could end up committing offences to get the money to pay the 'fine' or whatever.

Many years ago when prostitutes were fined for selling their "wares" on the street, the only way they could pay the fine imposed was to go back onto the streets..... crazy
