  • Its a hard knock life for us .....!!

    Hello

I'm just going to have a little grumble. As some of you are aware a few years ago my partner was arrested for conspiracy to rape. ( still cant understand what this means and how they are able to prove this)
I'm not so happy with his solicitor who hasn't really questioned the police about why its taking too long. Some people say their solicitors challenged the police into reoccurring bails. Our solicitor just makes us sign bail via his office.

    Two things-

    i) can we change solicitors and if so can this be done through legal aid?

ii) anyone know of a really good solicitor in the West Yorkshire area?

    Any advice is much appreciated

    Love to all

As he's not been charged then there is little or no evidence to disclose. Therefore there is little, if anything, a solicitor can do at this stage.

Some people believe that the solicitor has speeded things up, when in fact they have not. All that has happened is the the result has occurred around the same time the solicitor has made enquiries.

On rare occasions a solicitor can assist if there is evidence for the defence that - after great consideration - can be put to the police, which in few circumstances, have led to an early NFA.
