CRB Checks to be relaxed

Hi Everyone,

I know its nothing compared what some on here are contending with right now but, today I read the CRB checks are going to be relaxed.

After 6 years an adult caution will be dropped off a CRB check and 2 years for an under 16 or something. Also, crimes, apart from serious crimes, will not be mentioned after 12 or so years.

My question to this is, what will happen to NFA'd people, people without charges, will that come off the CRB in 6 years?

Any thoughts??

There will be an apparent repeal of "Additional Information", so, in my view that means that they can't disclose arrests, however, i would believe that on looking at your record of arrests, if they deemed something was up they would simply put you on one of the barring lists.

I'll believe it when I see it. Only proposals at the minute sadly.
