  • War and peace!

This poem is a bit of an experiment so we shall see
As I want to link my life to the Nazi tyranny
Hitler – well he could be the reincarnation of the mother of my baby!

For he like her was an evil and heinous man
Who came up with a little plan
A plan so devious and cunning
That the Second World War was up and running!
With an attack which came as a total surprise
All based on a wicked pack of lies!

So then that launched a war of total aggression
No pulling back – no regression
    That was back in 1939
I equate that as me being arrested for committing no crime! They called it the blitzkrieg
And I think both of them in the devil they were in league!
In English that means war of lightening
And at times so far it has been very frightening

The British troops like me were totally routed
Orders to fall back were frantically shouted
Back from Dunkirk they had to retreat
On the verge of certain defeat!

To invade the country – the Germans called it operation sea lion
Well let’s now call the country not the UK – but call it Brian!
Over a short stretch of water – there faced a formidable foe!
The most evil one – I or this world as ever had to know!

But they made a big mistake – they bit off than they could chew
Like reporting a false allegation to the boys in blue
They were too cocky – they thought they were of a superior race
I hear ***** - that Holloway is a lovely place.

Out of the British the Germans did not think they would get quite the reaction
As they were that over whelming when it came to military action
Like Britain now – I stand almost alone – against the Nazi jack boot
And back like this poem we were to shoot!

No surrender – no waving the white flag
This war was likely to drag
In 1940-1941 there were some very dark days ahead
Yet like Churchill – We only had thoughts of victory in our head

The Battle of Britain – long live the RAF
I am getting into this poem – sitting at the internet caff!
    The battle for the skies
Or me fighting back over a bunch of wicked lies

So as I sit in my bunker deep underground
Listening to the radio – listening to the battles and it’s own sound
An attack her – an attack there
All a bit of a nightmare

Yet those attacks are not going all the enemies’ way
Even if by writing about this – I am having a dark day
Getting it out on paper – it helps my anger out on this poem it drives
Though I don’t want to give too much away as careless talk cost lives!

So this is my little experiment through
As I find myself in a bit of a stew
The forces of evil – they are trying to close in but contained they are being
This is now the front line – from that there will be no more fleeing!

A war of attrition – or in other words a grind
With a baby to be born – in love I am with it blind
This is my way to respond in kind
And off now I have signed
