Sorry! Rest assured that some cases are dealt with much quicker than others so don't compare your experience and expectations with ours. You might be done and dusted very soon - as might we in spite of what we've been told. Stranger things and surprises happen.

    Stay with positive thinking!!

Sorry been away for few days.

Allegations in May then arrested interviewed and bailed. Bail ended because of how long he had been on bail and it was unconditional bail. They didn't need him on bail to continue investigation and there was no reason to keep him on bail. She said they can't keep people on bail forever any more

        Advice needed please

My story is almost the same as Broken Hearted. My daughter has made allegations and it’s torn our family apart. I love her but I know she’s just a girl who has other problems and is desperate for help and attention.
How long will this nightmare end.

Hello and welcome to Daftmoo Feeling broken, although it is sad to see someone new here you will inevitably come across other cases such as yours and I hope you can take some comfort from that. You are not alone.

False allegations by children or step children are extremely common, often as a cry for help or as a way of seeking attention as you surmise.

You don't say what has happened so far so it's difficult to advise as such, have you been arrested or voluntarily interviewed under caution? If so, did you have the duty solicitor?

I note that you are seeking a good LA solicitor on another thread so perhaps the interview hasn't happened yet? Legal representation is the most important thing when dealing with the law.

We will do our best to answer any questions you might have but for now, I will just say that you should prepare for a bumpy ride, but a ride that everyone survives. Hang in there.

I’m actually too scared to put something on a public post which is why I’ve looked for a similar story. Is there a way to private message on here please

There is a private message facility that becomes available when you’ve been a member for a little longer. I can’t remember at this moment how many days but I’ll keep and eye out and let you know. If you look on your profile page a ‘send private message’ button will appear on the left of the screen too.

Hang in there. In the meantime feel free to ask general questions on the boards. It’s always difficult to judge how much to say in the beginning but it will get easier. There aren’t many situations that are unique and it’s the naming of names and addresses and intricate detail that are the big things to avoid.

I believe that members must post at least 5 times and be registered for a minimum of 10 days before they can send PM's so you should be good to go.

Hi, as Peter mentioned in post #52, you will need to have been registered for 10 days before the pm facility is available (your registration date is 28/12/18)

The 'new member' status under your username will then change to 'full member' and you will then be good to go!

Apologies for misleading you about the PM's FB, it would seem I over estimated how long you have been registered and didn't bother checking.

I have sent you a PM and hopefully you will be able to reply to that.
