Welcome to...

Phil & Jo's Wedding Page

Here we hope to keep everyone up to date with our wedding plans

The Big day will be Sat 2nd August 2003

The Service: Starts 3:00pm

This will be at the Roman Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart on Harefield Road, Coventry.

Parking is provided and there will be ushers (John and Chris) to help you with parking and seating on the day

Very basically, the service will start with 3 readings, followed by the rite of marriage and finished off with prayers. All of this will be interspersed by as many hymns and songs as we can manage. For more information see The order of service page. There will be a printed order of service in the church so you do not have to print one off the website.

Confetti (and rice) is allowed in the church grounds but not in the church so feel free to bring as much as you want.

The Photos: 3:45pm to 4:30pm

After the service, photos will be taken behind the church, by Tony, using the gardens as a backdrop. Please can everyone stay behind for photos as each person will be in at least 2 photos. For more information see The photo page

On the day the Ushers (Chris and John) and Jude will be organising the groups for the photos, please see them if you are unsure whether you can leave or whether you will be needed for more photos.

They also have directions sheets to get to the reception hall/Town centre, since we are asking people to make their own way to the reception hall. These are also available in advance, See the directions page,

The Wedding Breakfast: 5:00pm to 7:00pm

This will be at Coventry working mens club. We will be providing a buffet style meal that should be suitable for all diets.

We will be providing gluten free sandwiches as requested. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know and will will try to come up with something

There will be no formalised seating plan except for the top table, hence, feel free to sit with whoever you like. Each table seats 8 people.

We would kindly like to ask you to refrain from smoking during the wedding breakfast.

We will start off with a good selection of cold buffet food. We will provide a bottle of red and white wine and Amé (Rose) (non alcoholic herbal drink). Other drinks can be bought from the bar.

We will have the speeches and toasts at 6:00pm. It is up to you whether you save the wine for this or buy another drink at the time.

The Evening Reception: 7:00pm to 11:30pm

This will also be at Coventry working mens club

The disco will start around 7pm. Last drinks orders will be at 11pm. The disco will finish at 11:30pm and we will have to vacate the hall by midnight.

Food: We will be providing a few nibbles - mostly crisps and biscuits and we are fairly confident that there will be some sandwiches/salad/savories etc from the buffet meal earlier. Thus, for those not coming to the wedding breakfast, we would recommend either having a light meal before coming since the food is unlikely to be sufficient for everyone to have a full meal.

There will be foil and food bags put out at the end of the evening. Since we don't like to see food wasted, please help yourself to anything that is left. It will make a good breakfast on Sunday for those who won't pay £5 at the Ibis hotel.

Although there is a reasonably sized car park at the club, it is locked overnight so unless you are happy not to drink and to drive back, we recommend you leave your cars at your hotel and use busses/taxis to get to the reception hall for the evening reception.

Enjoy Your Day! ;-)

Whilst we are endeavouring to keep links etc up to date, if replacements can't be easily found, the link will simply be removed. This is why some things may say they are links but are links no longer. Also, some of the information given here may, therefore, be out of date.
