  • 17 year old falsely accused of touching a 12 year old

Please, someone help!!!! My son (17) has been accused by a 12 year old of touching her inappropriatley at school. The parents went straight to the police instead of asking first. The girl came up to my son and hugged him, he didn't recipicate and just walked off. Obviously she was upset by this and made up a story to get back at him, unfortunatley there were no witnesses to confirm the story. What will happen to him now? He is totally devistated and can't understand the whole thing. The police was in touch with the school, which believes him 100%, especially as the girl is known to fabricating stories all the time to gain attention. But what can we do? Shell we get a solicitor or any other people involved to help?
Please, any advise will be more than appriciated.

hold fire for now I guess it all you can do

Why doesnt anyone respond or are they only prepared to do it by private message so no one else can interfere?

I guess its just wait and see at this point. Who knows what could happen BUT forget her history of telling lies, they dont consider that, she could say she was from Mars and that would not make any difference. If the Polcie/CPS/Parents want to prosecute they will and then you start to find yourself a specialist Sex Offenders Solicitors there arent many BUT there are a few. Its a case of finding one closest to you.

There are some good independent Solicitors, but most of the main outfits, big names are bent. You have to be very carefull with Legal Aid, but then Im sure others would swear by it, depends on experience !!

Just keep fingers crossed for now and see what the Police have to say, I would tell them NOTHING !!! Just say it didnt happen and leave it at that, anything else could be used against him, and you'd be amazed what they can add to what he might say so just dont to be safe.
