  • A huge huge thank you

    Hi everyone

I would just like to thank everyone who has left good wishes on here or written to me. You letters and cards meant so much and helped me get thru the darker times inside.
Very special thanks need to be said to Rights Fighter who has been my rock throughout this ordeal, she really is a very special person and I will be forever in her debt.
I was released last Friday and now try to start a new life.

I will look in on here when I can at the moment my only internet access is via the library.

    Thank You

I have only had time to read a couple of pages ( starting at page 11) of your story, but I am so glad for you that you are at last out and this whole sorry episode of you life is now over for you.

What has struck me the most though is Rights Fighter and how she fought for you with wonderful people like her around we are all so very very lucky.

How long exactly did you do out of your 7 years sentence? I thought the least one had to do was half of it, even that seems like a lifetime.

I wasn't on the forum when you were first on here, but I am happy for you that the nightmare is over

      Regards Sam

Great to hear from you Redscouse.

I'm only vaguely familiar with your story and will refresh my memory when I have a mo but I know how RF thinks the world of you which is as good as a recommendation comes in my book.

Here's to the future and hoping yours is a bright one. I know you deserve it.

            Thanks Imsam, Peter1975 and YoH

Red was convicted in 2014. We successfully appealed in 2015 and he had a retrial in 2016 at which he was reconvicted. His accuser deserves an Oscar for the tearful presentation. Solicitor who was there helping counsel for prosecution looked at me when she started, with his eyebrows raised..... It was clearly put on. Such a shame the jury couldn't see that.

After conviction barrister Dan was so upset he got the court to reconvene and managed to get a year knocked off the sentence. Initially the retrial judge gave him the same as he got in 2014.

By the time Dan had done that I had gone off with another supporter to have a stiff drink, so I only heard about that afterwards when Red rang my mobile later on prison.

I've been looking for his original thread where I dived in to help him before he was sentenced. Can somebody please help me find that thread? I've looked under his username of Redscouse but can't find it. I've got a new client in the same situation and I was hoping his family would see it, so they can see there is some hope at least
