  • conviction overturned

Another example of a conviction overturned when the police used edited version of a facebook conversation supplied by the FA.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...e-blunder.html

The police say that the FA printed the conversation while supervised there she must have edited prior to supplying the misleading version to the police. If this is true then she is obviously guilty of perverting the course of justice and should be charged.

However I cannot understand how the defence didn't have the knowledge of how to access the falsely accused Facebook account to access the true message history.

    oh dear

I just looked over my Facebook message history with my first FA after reading the article. I hadn't read it for some time. Oh dear me, message after message. I hope the police and prosecution have life jackets on because the case is sinking quicker than a Trump Casino built on quicksand.

Thanks for the link; another horrifying example of how the FA ia always believed and it is so wrong that her name is still withheld.

It underlines the reality that the accused must seek to prove their innocence rather than rely on the prosecution proving their guilt.

At least the DM are now on a roll with highlighting these cases; a few years ago they'd have merited a paragraph on an inside page....
