    It's getting majorly frustrating

does anyone know if the jury have a transcript of last time to work with aswell? As something that wasn't asked this time proved last time that one person had lied about something so.
      I don't understand the question:

if the jury have a transcript of last time to work with aswell?

What are you asking there? Do you mean, "does the jury have a copy of the trial transcripts from the first trial?" If yes - no they don't.

Defence should cross-examine about any inconsistencies between the first and second trial

Well he didn't cross examine from last time, last time they each ruined eachothers statements by saying different thing's.....this time they are similar in statements so are not tripping eachother up.

The only big mistake so far is one accusing is saying he told his brother early 2014 about it then when the brother was on the stand he said he was told spring 2015 about it and the barrister made him make sure he was absolutely 100% certain on that which he laughed about and said of course he was certain on it being right.

Oh no!! This is the sort of thing where I wish that people found the groups before trial.....

Just hope it all goes well. Keep posting and some of us will come in to support you each day of the trial.

Today is tough.....seeing my other half and his mum wuestioned was hard, they made his mother cry.

I think my OH's barrister did a good job summing up though

2pm we go back to hear the judge sum up and hand over to the jury.

Well the judge seemed fair.....he gave like two sides to every coin options, reasons why they might be truthful and reasons why not. Talked about tendencies and gave an example like a shop lifter with like 50 odd incidents of shop lifting going into a shop and putting stuff into a basket and then walking out, then saying when caught that he just forgot and didn't realise and said that even though someone may have a tendency to do something, doesn't mean on that instance he did.

Also he ran through the entire case from start to finish and before he spoke about my OH on the stand, he reminded the jury to treat him fairly and the same as you would anyone else on the stand, not to see him as bad because of what's been said, think of him the same way as you do the accusers.

He said he would try to remain impartial and not give away what he thought on the case and that just cos it was two members of the same family, doesn't make it true....at the same time, it happened within a family not strangers.

That's really all I can think of right now.

He offered the jury 40minutes to talk if they wished and asked them to put their hands up if they wanted too, but they declined it.....could they just be after that extra day off work? Or do you think they've already discussed it and are already at loggerheads and know 40mins isn't enough.

We find out tomorrow, the judge is meant to be the mot9experienced judge in the place aswell.

Could be that they were hot and bothered sat in the jury room so wanted a fresh clean start for tomorrow's deliberations.

Hold on in there! Dancing bananas are at the ready!

Yeah, my theory is if I don't sleep it'll take longer to get to tomorrow so I can spend more time with him incase the worst happens.

We already know that if he goes down we're appealing and if I have to get into serious debt to get him out, I will and if he doesn't go down we're gonna complain that his solicitor never saw him, let evidence slip away, the stuff on fb being deleted which the solicitor asked to see Tuesday morning but we haven't seen him since.

I guess you won't want to think of the "worst case scenario" but he needs to be prepared just in case.

He needs to pack what we call the "nasty bag" which should contain underwear, clothes, track suit, trainers, flip flops to wear in the showers, postage stamps, stationery, money (if possible about £100). No black and white clothes.

There is a full list somewhere here. I'll see if I can find it.

He needs to have his own stuff and also money so that if the worst happens, he can have cash put onto his PIN phone account quickly so he can contact you, to let you know he is ok.

Edited to put the short list of "nasty bag"

                              Short list:

You won’t want to even think of being wrongfully convicted, but it would be far worse if you did not go prepared.

Money (notes) - as much as you can but not more than £400
Postage stamps - write your name and number on the back of the books
                              Stationery: writing paper and envelopes
Address book complete with useful names and addresses in - book cannot have metal in it
                              Flip flops for showers
                              Trainers (not expensive ones)
                              Track suit
Ordinary clothes - not black and white
Underwear: socks and pants - about 8 pairs of each
                              Paperback books - new
Quiz and similar type books - new and preferably in sealed covers
Prescription list from your GP and up to date medication
Toiletries - new - some prisons do not allow this but worth taking in case you can have them later on
NB: You might not be allowed all of the above in certain prisons but it should go into your “property” so if/when you are moved you may be able to have it where you move to.
