  • Google Map of recommended Solicitors

Searching the recommended solicitor thread for one in your area can be a pain so I have put them all on a google map which can be accessed with the link below. Bear in mind that the trial is likely to take place in a court local to the area where the offence is alleged to have occurred so do ensure that the chosen solicitor is either based in this area or is happy to travel. It should be noted that most solicitors will travel the country so it is not strictly necessary to use someone local but it does make meetings easier and cuts out the use of local agents and any breakdown in communication.

The most recommended legal aid Solicitors, Freemans based in London, are more than happy to travel all over the country on legal aid and the most recommended private client solicitor Chris Saltrese, also works nationwide.

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-q...QY&usp=sharing

You will need to zoom in to the more crowded areas. I have mostly copied members comments onto the map but it can be cross referenced with the thread:

    http://www.daftmoo.org.uk/mooforum/s...ist-solicitors

    Disclaimer:

I have compiled the map purely to make locating members recommendations easier. While several solicitors have been recommended by multiple members, some have not. I strongly recommend that members cross reference with the recommended Sols thread and the original posters history by searching their username on the site. Also ask about them in your own thread.

There are far more readers than posters on daftmoo, many of them are genuine and only join up post trial to tell us their good news and receive their dancing banana's, so if you find that a solicitor has been recommended by someone that only joined post trial, it does NOT necessarily mean that the OP is working for the solicitor, but be aware they might!

Also if your solicitor is not here, don't panic. it does not mean they are rubbish, but again, ask about them in your own thread.

Ultimately you must use your own judgement about your legal team.

I would ask that admin leave this thread open for anyone that wishes to challenge any inclusions or omissions or wishes to add comments and I would ask that members add to the recommended solicitors thread with helpful comments and I will add them to the map.

What an absolutely brilliant bit of work Why the system moderated it I don't know, unless it was the link; obviously I've now approved it & also stickied it which had the bonus of locating it next to the solicitors thread rather than further down the page.

      Its not a complete list

Only the list of solicitors he wants on it.

it should be made clear that this is a list of solicitors YOU want on the list, not all the ones recommended.

It should be clear where there is favouritism.

Thanks CH - It was modded because I posted it in the useful info area.

Can you edit my post to add something about choosing sols close to the trial and not necessarily where the defendant is now living?

        Much appreciated.

Having painstakingly gone through the entire thread I can assure you that I have included all but firms without named solicitors and one firm that is eagerly promoted by only one person who has already revealed themselves to be less than trustworthy.

It is far too easy for a solicitor or crooked "legal enquiry agent" to pose as someone falsely accused and promote bad solicitors, it has happened before.

For all I know Lucky the solicitor you recommend may be the best in the field but so far only you recommend him... just as you recommend members not do any of their own investigative work... and insist that no one falsely accused can possibly be convicted, which surely makes recommending any solicitor a bit pointless.. and then you claimed to be a rape crisis worker..... and you submitted no posts at all while you were being modded....

I argued against having you removed from the site permanently as I believe daylight is the best disinfectant but I will be on your case every time you post.

It is, isn't it?! He's worked really hard on the one for the private PAFAA forums too.

Such a shame that "Lucky" appears to have escaped moderation. Sols named and shared are those who have been specifically recommended by several people, not just one. It's not about favouritism.

No favouritism from me, should you wish to compile a similar map that can also go up on the forum

Now done, and after a day or so I'll cull the irrelevant comments from the thread as they detract from your excellent concept.

I wish there were "like" icons, as there are in the new PAFAA forums.

Peter has worked so hard on this solicitors and barristers map in both PAFAA and here. He's also spent hours and hours helping me with transferring all the information from the old PAFAA forums into the new. He's an absolute trooper and i'd like to thank him from the bottom of my heart, as I am sure others do, for his excellent work.

Awww.. shucks RF... That's very kind of you but I didn't work that hard, I did all of it sat with a laptop and a packet of biscuits.

As for the irrelevant comments casehardened, you must do as you see fit but I have no problem with Lucky disagreeing with my decision to not include his recommendations as long as he/she has no problem with me explaining why I do not trust them.

I am however prepared to take lucky at their word and I will spend some time searching for the "many other posters" that also recommend his solicitor. If I find them I will add them to the map with my apologies.

In case anyone missed me saying elsewhere, Lucky is back on moderation. Unfortunately, I can't renew the infraction before it expires, and with something else that has been occupying me for the last few days, there was a day or two's window that he managed to slip through un-moderated. I'm very sorry about that. I've made a diary note for next month.
