  • Only 1 in 30 reported rapes in Surrey ended with a successfuly conviction

    Hi,

Only 1 in 30 reported rapes in Surrey ended in a successful conviction in 2015/16 as follows -

    http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/surr...ne-30-12022089

There were 559 reported rapes in Surrey last year, but only 19 men were convicted.

It appears that rape is one of the main yard sticks that is used to measure a Chief Constable performance.

Lynne Owens the then Surrey's Chief Constable was even considered for replacement, because of Surrey's Police poor performance in handling rape cases as follows -

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35466283

I know from being at the wrong end of a rape investigation by Surrey police.

That Surrey police/CPS falsified multiple rapes charges against me in an attempt to increase the low conviction rate in the county

As my ex-wife never once said I raped her in her witness statement, but I was still charged with 5 counts of rape including 2 x multiple rapes without any medical, ccty or witnesses as evidence.

Also, at my 2 week trial of the 6 police/CPS witnesses who gave evidence against me not once was I accused of rape.

The Police/CPS even resorted to dirty tricks by calling my own mother as a witness against me.

Worse still was I was held on remand for 9 months only to found not guilty on all 5 counts of rape.

It is wrong to measure a police force performance on the number of reported rapes, as it will only lead to many men being falsely accused of rape

Just so the Chief Constable can keep their £200k salary plus living allowances and up to 64 days holiday per year.
