Local to me. I was tweeting all day the other day local newspapers in an attempt to persuade them to make it front page news.

I had an argument with somebdoy about this case after he was sent down. The other person had listened to gossip and was convinced he was guilty......

Yet another case when an innocent person is sent to prison. Thank goodness his wife kept fighting to prove his innocence.

Another major miscarriage of justice for an innocent man. I hope the accuser gets prosecuted and put in jail for all his lies.

Question for slowdown / thank you RF

Thank you RF for your hard work. Bless you.

Slowdown- I have a question to ask you about DBS check after false allegation.

I need to know more about the QAF document that the police use to help them
disclose/ not disclose false allegations on an enhanced check.

How long did you wait for your latest DBS check?

Did you use an umbrella body to help
          You with the dbs check?

            Hi LondonTeacher

In response to your question, please have a read through the home office guidance on statutory disclosure document and quality assurance framework which explains the decision making process regarding the disclosure of information on DBS. I have included the PDF link below.

Sections 18 and 20 are particularly relevant - it states information come from a credible source and the Police must consider any circumstances where information might not be true. It goes on to say allegations should not be included without taking steps to establish whether they are more than likely to be true.

In relation to the QAF, the substantiated section states if there are untoward circumstances to believe the information might not be true or lacking in substance, that it would be disproportionate to disclose, then it should not be disclosed. The weight of evidence is set at a low level below the balance of probabilities.

My first DBS was completed through an employment agency but I have just had another one done by an employer and on both occasions the allegation was not included. My latest DBS took about two weeks to be returned.

There is also a disputes procedure if the Police do disclose information about a false allegation and you wish to challenge this. Please come back to me if you need anymore information. Thanks.
