I was going to suggest Guy Gosheran from Aldridge Brownlee sols but it looks as though he is no longer there. I've just emailed them to ask where he has moved to. I can't find anything online though.

No problem, thanks for looking, I'll be back at the police station to receive my charge next week. Absolutely dreading it, keep thinking/hoping that they cant find in her favour without evidence and there cannot be any evidence. Reading this forum has made me realise that that doesn't necessarily ring true.

Are you on the trainline between Weymouth and Southampton? Just trying to work out if we could meet up

I would probably stick with your Union Lawyers. It could be cost effective too.

However, if you have to use someone else, again, try ringing Riz ( www.arcadianlaw.com ) or Chris ( www.chrissaltrese.co.uk ) and just see how you feel talking to either of them.

As people have said before, DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE how important it is that you can 'talk' to your lawyer. that relationship is very important.

Just sent an email. Check your spam / junk folders if you cannot find it in the inbox. You could now disable that unless you want people you don't know to email you. Your PM facility will kick in soon.

I tend to agree with your sol. that it boils down to the jury on the day.

My partner was falsely accused and the case went to trial based upon one person's word. There were inconsistencies, the allegations were far fetched, ridiculous and provable that they could not have happened, yet it still got that far.

Unfortunately, to the detriment of genuine victims of abuse - false accuser's have to be given the same amount of 'belief' from police and CPS.

We used sol. Chris who was fantastic throughout.

As you have already been advised, it is crucial to use a sol. who is experienced in this field. My advise would be to 'shop around' before you make your decision.
