This is not news. Compensation has been paid out for a number of different crimes for decades.

This is the most recent "shopping list" - go to Page 70 on the link

        https://www.gov.uk/government/upload...0108512117.pdf

On the other side of the coin is this:

        http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2...ion?CMP=twt_gu

        Extract:

Rape victims can apply for financial compensation whether or not their attacker goes to jail. They are awarded varying amounts by the CICA according to the severity of injuries, from a basic payment of £11,000 to a maximum of about £44,000. But the awards can be reduced or denied on the basis of having a minor conviction for smoking cannabis, a driving offence or shoplifting.
She was a victim of a controlling abusive husband who raped her. She retracted the true allegation due to pressure from the husband and his family. I remember this case very well. Because she retracted and because she had to minor criminal convictions (driving offences) her payout was minus 70%.

Again, if you compare the % woman jailed with a max of 1 year (doing half in prison 6 months) against % men jailed more than 4 years FA. You see how "good" is this country justice system

You can't really make a complaint against the accuser can you? Aren't you due to go to trial soon?

Her going out and having fun means nothing as far as I can see. Real victims often socialise with friends to try to forget what has happened to them

The government here in this country has put targets in place due to the low conviction rates for rape cases.
They are trying hard to bring these rates up.
This means they very rarely prosecute people for making false allegations.
Even if they admit the offence (which they don't often do) they are just given a telling off.
It does happen but it's rare because the government feels it will prevent the true victims of rape from coming forward. They not but come forward for fear of being accused of falsely accusing.

It's up to you if a complaint is made, and every case is different.
No one can tell you what to do.

I know it's hard but the process is long and very drawn out.
Trust his innocence to be shown in the end.

                Best of luck

I don´t know if we can make a complaint against her. But that seems impossible to go against the system and her if you do not have a devastating proof and even with that would be used against you!!

Im going to trial after summer but until this date my friend have to suffer massive bail restrictions while
she only said " he raped me" and all is easy for her. It do not seem real RF.

I think have photos of she going to party after say be raped can be helpful in trial..

I can not get to understand how we can be able to be contemplating such a big injustice and do nothing.

This has to be on the news and around the world. This can not go on like this. A young student person who comes on vacation or, a father with a really good and normal life is not a rapist if they can´t prove it!!! It is a very serious crime and that the government wants to increase conviction rates do not have to suffer the consequences.

How can photos of the complainant going to a party help to prove that she was not raped? I don't follow your reasoning here.

People often suffer terrible trauma but still manage to socialise after the event that caused it. In fact that can only be a good thing, for a real victim to socialise, as otherwise she risks making herself ill with agoraphobia etc.

Try not to rely on that "evidence". Unless she tells the jury she has not been out once since the alleged assault then it has no purpose.

                        RF.

You need to understand me please.

This is incredible. This can not go on like this. A woman go to party, drink, and then feel bad or compelled to say that she was raped and destroys a man life.

Please in what world we live? I refuse!!

A woman goes to a party. She has sex or was raped.

This doesn't mean that, after that, she cannot go out with friends to another party.

Possibly she would make sure she was not left unattended in future, so that there is less chance of another assault.

It's not an impossibility that she would go out and socialise after a traumatic event. This is how the prosecution would make a jury would see it.

In this way seem impossible to proof that a man did not rape a girl if she have DNA. This cases, about consent, is a completely lottery for mens FA.

                            Wich is the solution RF?

Not a mean way by Rights Fighter is one lady, she doesn't magically have the answer to all our problems or cases. If she did she would be a very rich women lol. She gives great advice and can probably point you in the direction of a decent solicitor who will fully know your entire case and put together a good defense, that sadly is all any of us can do.
