What does developed vetting mean?

Highly sensitive roles would be where people are looking to work with vulnerable people such as young children, older children with mental or physical health problems. Or elderly people who cannot look after themselves......

Developed vetting would be vetting that goes the extra mile due to the vulnerability of the child or elderly / ill client

Unfortunately DVing is not just limited to working with children or elderly - you also require developed vetting when working with sensitive information or roles where attacks against your character can put the organisation in disrepute or cause you to be coerced into acting against the interests of your employer.

For instance - working in the security or crime agencies, high profile public sector roles, IT and programming roles involving confidential business information, entrance into some of the professions - the list goes on.

I don't think the justice system fully understands the implications of leaving false accusations on record without conviction!

Sadly I only know this because I work in an industry where further advancement would require me to get security clearance - which looks at spent and unspent convictions.

Any higher than that level would require vetting, which involves looking into your entire history, financial situation, personal relationships and acquaintances, and of course - any dealings with police whatsoever.

However, I never work with children or vulnerable people!

It is a shame, but disputing the record being on file is the option people have, although the standard of proof of a crime not happening is on the balance of probabilities and entirely on the judgement of the Chief Inspector of the force. Parliament is the only additional step that can be tried and if that fails then people are stuffed with this on file until they are 100 years old

not related to the rape allegation but I had an Voluntary interview under caution Oct 2014 NFA was taken btw afterwards would this show on an enhanced DBS?
