Any person below the age of 10 is still considered as been incapable of crime "Doli Incapax" will indeed apply.

My point is this - how on earth can anyone in their right mind believe that a five year old boy could hold down a 14 year old girl and rape her? I don't think he'd be able to get an erection big enough for starters....

Anything to meet Government-set rape conviction targets....

It is indeed a really baffling case and I consider myself stunned that it got so far

This does not suprise me at all, I'm my case my FA told the police I was in my late teens when I allegedly assaulted her but the dates she gave the police meant I was 6 until my teens and still it took the police CPS 8 months before I was given a NFA

It's been a few weeks now since I was NFA and at the time i was allated and thought I could finally put this behind me, but how wrong I was, I still fear the phone ringing, I still think why did this happen and why me, still it goes round and round in my mind most days, it's exhausting and still affects my work my family life, my relationships and my health.

These kids could be traumatised for life, it's totally wrong and unfair on the falsely accused, but we all know that.

Would a five year old even think like that. My six year old isn't even aware that girls don't have the same parts as boys and certainly hasn't the foggiest idea what sex is?

Logic and common sense aren't allowed though are they. Sadly sanity is forgotten in lots of these cases. We must all believe that abuse lurks around every corner

If a child has been sexually abused or exposed to adult porn, then they sadly would know what goes where.

Also some schools are giving very young children sex education - allegedly to teach them to "keep safe". Obviously it won't do that. All it will do is allow children to "experiment" with what they have seen and heard.

Whoever thinks up these schemes in schools really need to have a psychological assessment in my view.

I work with children and i think the people in charge of safe guarding in this country need psych assessments as they seem to be incapable of viewing anything as innocent.

Where i worked before my current job we weren't allowed to put a sticker on a child, we had to put it on our finger for them to take. If you see something untoward about putting a sticker on I think your slightly pervy yourself.

It frightens we how children will grow up when the people who care for them can't show any level of affection even verbal in case it's considered grooming etc. Will they grow up feeling unliked or thinking that adults don't value them.

I was at my grandson's football teams' party in December and the coach was talking about how vulnerable they are to FAs and sometimes he felt it wasn't worth the hassle. He said that he told one of the kids (it's a U13 team) who's quite small to get down in order to head the ball, at which the boy said he could "get him done" for telling him to bend over in front of him.
