To the OP - if your currents sol and barrister say they have an appeal in hand, then you need to discuss that with them. None of us were present at the trial and haven't seen the paperwork, so cannot help at this stage. Keep posting to get support.

Confused too my husband has not been charged was asked to go to the police station for enquiries into a historical allergations did come back NFC but after further waiting now is going to be prosecuted does it mean he ll be charged at the court summons?
