    If they go on the run then the police and/or Interpol would be alerted. The sentence would be added to so really not worth the risk

      If the police RE allowing people to travel. How can they trust them to come back ?
      We didnt have to inform the police specifically of our holiday as I asked them at the time of my husband's arrest, but as it was, to avoid any bail date falling whilst we were away, our solicitor informed them. They made sure that his next date was within a few days of us due to return home, obviously to make sure that we didnt go on the run!
