  • claiming back costs

http://t.co/XUMafEKOhP any thoughts on this ? How can Rebekah Brooks be eligible for costs when so many others are not !

I think it depends on whether you applied for legal aid and were refused and were deemed to be ineligible. You then get back the costs of what LA would have paid so doubtful you wold get it all back. If you didn't sign and were eligible is when, I believe, you don't get a penny back.

Possibly she was advised to sign the LA forms and was refused as ineligible.

This will be an interesting case, because if she wins, then there will be an avalanche of back claims. Also depends on whether she is paying privately to 'sue' or whatever it is that she is doing.

So Rebekah Brooks has dropped her claim ! However Charlie Brooks and Stuart Kuttner are still seeking to recoup costs - should be interesting
