I'm self deprecating so no worries! I often refer to myself as the fat bat from down south!

If you have evidence of this or her behaviour before the accusation, make a note of it. If it's on FB take screenshots.

That is not likely to help your case at all, unless she claims she has lived like a hermit since the alleged assault. If she 'creates a false impression' you would then be entitled to 'correct that false impression'. Otherwise it doesn't really help.'

People who have genuinely been abused don't always stay indoors and often go out with trusted friends to take their mind off what has happened.

Always think "how would the other side twist this?"

Hi all thought I'd do a little up date and apologies for the big gap in my updates.

Been mega busy building a new life I have a great new job (4 months I'm now) moved cities have new friends a new flat seeing my son again got a car lifes going well however I am sorry to say the black cloud above my head is still there after 7 months !!!! I've been rebailed three times as the CPS lawyer always seems to be either away or requires further answers to enquiries !! Its a extremely frustrating situation I have a new bail date of the 29th April and have been assured by the OIC that a decision will be made on that date.

I spoke with my solicitor yesterday and was told to be prepared to be charged !!!! How on earth do you prepare for that I know my fa is lying yet I am having to be prepared to be charged ????

Anyway that's where I'm at just needed a rant I suppose any advice as ever is welcome

                    Hi BAS

Thank you for your update - sorry to hear that you are still in this prolonged business. Hopefully, by May you will be able to turn around and commence the rest of your life without this surrounding you.

Always better to be prepared for the worst though so it's not a total shock and then you can roll your sleeves up (if there is a charge - there might not be) and start on your defence.

I agree. Only 2 people know my fa is lying- me and her. If text messages can't be retrieved from my phone then I'm expecting to have to go to court; and I know in the current climate I'm going to be very lucky indeed if I walk out of it a free man. All I can say is what I'll be saying to myself. Be confident in your own innocence and be strong!

Really hoping for the best for you in this, I'll be thinking of you! Hoping there's no charge.
                        J

It sounds like you're doing really well and that you have been able to carry on despite the black cloud that follows you!
It's really nice to know that some good things are happening in your life as it gives us a bit of perspective!
Bad things happen but good things do too!
Keep positive as a charge (if it happens, and it may not) is just the beginning, not the end!
Thanks for posting and let's all try and look at the good things in our lives!
For instance, just watching my children playing in the sunshine today, happy and healthy, laughing and having fun made me and hubby smile!!
                            There's good things going on!
Wishing you all the best and we will carry on looking after each other on this forum!!
