    Thanks.

I don't want to risk another situation that Sparks found himself in. I still haven't got his paperwork yet. If only he had arranged it all before sentence......

Just want to reiterate what I said earlier I wish I had found this forum years ago when this nightmare started and been able to talk to someone like Rights Fighter.
Rights Fighter I cant thank you enough the few brief few words we have had makes me think there might be a light at the end of this dark long tunnel.

Hi Redscouse - What a shame you never found this site before. It's great RF is giving you advice. I'm sure you're trying to get as much official stuff as possible sorted. According to another member who is now serving a sentence, they had not been able to have any toiletries or private hygiene stuff for 2 weeks, I would take your own of everything. Also , take a hobby or game with you (chess?) and plenty of reading material.

        Good luck.

Hi redscouse - so very sorry that you have been sentenced but RF is absolutely brill and will be able to give you a great deal of advice. Don't give up hope of appeal just because your barrister says there's no grounds. a member on the other forum was told the same and another barrister has found grounds. Keep strong.....

Thank you myhome and whatsgoingon? your messages mean so much to be at this time. RF is amazing so knowledgeable about this kind of stuff.
To be honest I am gobsmacked that this kind of thing is so rife in our society right now for years I thought it was just me and a few celebrities.
Its heart breaking to see so many other people going through this hell. I had some good news tonight another family member who I was unaware knew anything of this has agreed to give a statement supporting me with evidence that I feel can only benefit any appeal. It is amazing how many people within a family have known what has been going on for all these years and only now after the event give evidence in your defence.
Another big day tomorrow one of many "big" days I really need my Barrister and solicitor to see that an appeal would be the right course of action and maybe get bail while an appeal is heard.
I am not to hopeful of that and am prepared for some time at her majesty's pleasure.
            Again thank you

Well, Its my final day of freedom, Court tomorrow for sentencing, feeling in a very surreal environment at the moment have lots to do but keep finding myself standing or sitting with my mind wandering to what happened in court last week. What did I do, say wrong. Expecting my accuser to at any minute say "sorry its been a terrible mistake and I never imagined it would get this far".
Feel very let down by my solicitor and barrister was expecting some communication today re appeal but nothing. Spoke to RF earlier which gave me a great lift.
Talking to my brother yesterday and found out things that were said to him by police during his interview things that were false such as they told him they had found interesting things on my computer, a computer that was returned to me with no comment. The Police obviously using the divide and conquer mentality.
I would like to thank everyone who has offered me advice over the last week and I reiterate that I wished had found this place when this all started not after I had been found guilty.
Best of luck to everyone visiting this forum who find themselves in the awful situation of being falsely accused.

Hi redscouse - I am so sorry for you and cannot begin to imagine what you are feeling right now. You have found RF and spoken to her which is fantastic. If there are grounds for appeal she will surely find them. If you are able to get your brother to let us know where you go, we can write - although he must do it confidentially as this is an open forum or he could tell RF and she can tell us.
Also your brother can join this forum or the other one for support too and in that way can also keep in touch.
With my very best wishes for early justice ..... Myhome

He's now in prison but I have his prison number so have emailed him using Email A Prisoner. Also had some of his paperwork from his family and expect more from the sol soon, hopefully. Once he is in touch I will ask him if he would like to receive letters from people on here and on PAFAA,

And we have Grounds for Appeal. I am waiting for the courier to arrive to take the box of paperwork. Should get to the barrister tomorrow. I believe we have at least three Grounds but will know more once counsel gets his teeth into it. I've been in touch with counsel all week and he believes we have a case. Shame it will take around 6 months to get to the SJ (Single Judge) who will hopefully give Leave to Appeal, and then another 6 months or so before the full hearing. RedScouse is aware that he has around a year to wait before we have the judgement.

It can take a jury minutes to convict and and innocent person a lifetime to quash in too many cases.

Great news, well done In the circumstances it will be a real result for you and him to get this conviction overturned.

I've just reread the thread and what abominably bad luck to have a forced change of barrister one working day before trial
