Not sure what you mean by "moved very much northwards!" I am sure he takes cases north of there, but with legal aid being what it is, no longer pays for travel and overnight costs of counsel if one is chosen out of their own area (unless it is an appeal).

He is (unless he has moved) with Garden Court North Chambers, which is in Manchester.

I know that some barristers will take on cases out of their own area if their expenses are found - ie hotel and travel expenses.

He has moved house, or is about to, to Scotland but not sure where he will be based work wise.

Oh wow! I do hope he doesn't change his work or retire. He is FAR too valuable!!

Well, he said he was ready to pack it all up after we failed to vacate the plea because he was really p'd off by the attitude of the judge but I think he is far to committed to give up. He would be a sad loss and he is much needed.
