Very sorry to hear this. Hes going to be at an all time low, and I think the one thing this is going to get him through this is to hear that he still has your full support and belief that he is innocent.
Let him know you know he is innocent and will be there for him no matter what. Let him know of the other family members and friends that all still have belief and support for him.

I'm sure others will be along later to discuss the posibility of launching an appeal for the fight to go on.

    Keep strong.

welcome to the forum but so sorry to see yet another mum here supporting her son....you will get lots of advice and support here, both for you and your son. You may find it helpful to confide in your GP for medical support or referring to a qualified talking therapist
    .
As tigertiger has said, you should consider the possibility of appeal, but remember that this can only be on abuse of process not on wrongful conviction. There are a number of solicitors in the specialist solicitor sticky http://www.daftmoo.org.uk/mooforum/s...ist-solicitors

So sorry to hear about your son. Me and my family are going through a similar situation as you and i know it can't be worst than a hell for the whole family and your son, all I can say is stay strong for your son and your family, your son needs you cos he will be totally broken and only you can support him throughout this hard time. We are going through an appeal bcos I kno my brother is innocent so please u consider an appeal too, its worth getting a second thought specially when you know your son han been falsely accused.

    Regards

thankyou for replying i appreciate that . no one is helping me thats who, ive been advised by my sister to say "it is what it is and i wish i could change it it but i cant" and then change the subject....why does this make me feel like im selling my son out...anything else a person is accused of they are allowed to protest their innocence but a sexual offence..if it gets as far as a conviction they have to say their guilty and attend courses etc apparently or they will be denied parole early release etc. my son says he will NEVER say he did it because he didnt!
