  • False Alligators

Here is my latest poem. I was playing with the word false allegation and then thought the person could be called a false allegator. Then changed it to false alligator because I thought the image of a nasty alligator pretty much sums up these vile women who turn people's lives upside down.

    False Alligators

Time does a merry dance and then stands still.
What has gone before can never be again.
The lies spurt forth from defiant red lips
Her insides are curdled with hate and resentment.
Feeding her insincerity and greedy laments

But for the ones left behind in the judicial
Mess, their worlds are as sodden and spoiled
As the packet of tissues, rolled, used and
Discarded in the paper basket. On an
    Ash ridden bedroom carpet.

The traffic travels in its own direction.
A watch is a useless companion as
    Days merge, watercolours of episodes
The paint seeps in a pool of tears
    Frustration, hurt and desolation
Providing us with a new landscape.

False allegations in a sea of fake alligators
Swimming with sharks teeth of hatred
Poised ready to bite. Wait. Time stops
and gives a military salute. The loss
    Of liberty a reality now.

And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..
