  • Advice Needed

My grandfather has just been charged with sexually assaulting a minor. This incident is alleged to have happened about 7-8 years ago when he used to babysit this person.

My grandfather wouldn't hurt a fly and I truly believe the allegation is false. I am very concerned because I have children myself and we have had the social services around and they are planning on visiting my son's school and my other son's nursery. I just hope that this doesn't affect me or my children in any way.

My concern is for my grandfather who is elderly and confused by the whole thing and also my family because of the social services being involved and what implications their investigations may have.

Can anyone help with advice particularly on my grandfather's defence.

    Thanks

Your granddad will need to instruct a solicitor who is experienced in defending false allegations of sexual abuse (as opposed to defending sexual offences).

If you need some help with this please feel free to PM me your granddad's locality - or the locality where the trial is likely take place.
