  • Finding solicitors

Hi all jusy a quick one i know iv been given the link to the thread of solicitors and have managed to email mark newby and also had a reply from a cheryl weir based at cartwright. I have heard great recommendations in the site for mark and was just wondering if people have had experience with either if rhem to help guide us

The other question, my partner has started to open up after we saw each other over the weekend. But is still not in the place to start his fight hes still very shocked and wants to pretend its not happening so it doesnt ruin what little bit of time we spend together. I completly understand this but i am worrued do we have the time for him to have a couple of weeks before dealing with getting the solicitor sorted and starting to find out whats next. Or should i be getting him to see he needs the solicitor finding asap then can hace normal days between then and his first court date.

I know he needs times and hes trying to adjust to sleeping on a friends sofa and weve had a kot of backlash from family to deal with this week along with actually been charged but scared if he leaves it till after easter he may not find a solicitor with experience and that could be the biggest mistake we make in all of this to stay with a solicitor he has no faith in just because he doesnt want to deal with it this week.

Is this private client or legal aid? And in which area would the trial be held?

Supporting someone who is being represented by one of Mark Newby's team at Jordans. It has got complicated but I can offer nothing but praise for them. I've had to deal with solicitors due to complications and Mark has answered a desperate emails sent on a Friday evening which due to the circumstances was hugely appreciated.

Hollie Alcock is the solicitor of choice there! if however this is private client work then check out Chris Saltrese in my tagline.

Thank you for advice we went to see mark yesterday and although he couldnt tell us anything really he did say that he wold take the case. Chase up court date ajd then we can get together to go through evidence when he gets it. My partner said he felt very confident in him and supported unlike with his other soliciotor. It was a great feelig to see my oh been positive for the first time since the charge and willing to discuss it and get things in order for the fight a head
