After an 8 month wait my son attended his bail today to be told there would be no further action.

I cannot begin to say what effect this has had on not only his life but that of his close family too, but we never gave up hope that the truth would come out. It had been a long 8 months with many ups and downs, there were days when I found it hard to even get out of bed and I must admit, thought that this nightmare would never end.

This forum has been amazing, the help and advice on here has really helped me stay strong. For those of you still waiting, never, ever give up, the truth does come out eventually.

RF - you are an amazing person, your advice and recommendations are always spot on and I know you work so hard to help all those innocent people who are struggling.

I was about to say "great news" when I saw your last paragraph. Thanks for that. I often wonder why I bother but that made me smile

Thank you all for your good wishes. We are overjoyed that the truth came out but realise that it will be a long time before our lives get back to normal.

In the meantime the fa just gets on with her life with no repercussions. I would hate anyone to feel that they can't report a genuine case but surely something has to be done to stop this epidemic of false allegations.

So happy for you soanxious.. Im praying the same outcome for my family, but really wish when fa are found to be telling lies, they shou,d be legally punished instead of sitting back knowing they"ve got away with putting someone through sheer hell for months

Thank you for your kind words, my thoughts are with you and your family and I hope your nightmare ends soon.

I agree with your comments about the fa. Unfortunately some thrive on the attention, sympathy etc with no thought of the pain and suffering they are causing. Perhaps they should be named and shamed if they have been proved to have been telling lies!

I am not a vindictive person but find it hard that our lives will never be the same again and our fa just carries on as if nothing has happened.

On a more positive it has certainly made me realise what an amazing family I have, they never once doubted my son and we all appreciate the little things in life far more now.
