My 14 yr old step son has been falsly accused of rape by a girl at school. CID are involved but will not tel us where or when this supposedly occurred. My step son has been put in isolation at school in case he rapes another girl. The girls parents have messaged my step son saying she is lying and has done this before. The police will not take this into consideration. What can we do?

Can't really help, I've not got much experience outside of what happened to me, but I always like to offer support where I can. If you've got a solicitor show him the messages, is there any evidence from other instances where she made accusations, i.e police or social services?Originally posted by Worriedstepmother View Post
All the police are interested in is whether there is a case for taking matters further. They have now been given targets to meet. Warps the whole justice process. That aside, I feel sure that if gods forbid this goes any further then the parents' opinions when related to a jury would go a long way to discrediting her allegations; even if the prosecution have been informed of the defence I doubt there's much they can say to that. If I were a prosecuter I think I would keep away from a case where even the girl's parents don't believe her!

Hi - welcome to this forum but sorry you are in this situation. A FA has a massive effect on lives.
There's lots of information on here and you are sure to receive much support.
I'm sure you already have done so, but make sure you retain the message from the parents.
The words that are repeated are that 'they are not your friend'. Be mindful that they may try to misconstrue things.
I hope your son is left waiting too long before he gets a positive outcome.

He's been interviewed yes?
At the moment there is not a fat lot you can do as he's not been charged, so very little, if any paperwork will be available to be able to start on making a defence, should you need to. it's a waiting game at the moment.
If the girl's own parents have said that she's done this before, if the police are not interested, and if he is charged, your solicitor certainly will be.
Keep posting and you'll get support
