  • Re-interview - Worried

    Hi,

I have just found out that i will be Re-interviewed when i call bail in 2 days.

I'm unsure if this is a bad or good thing. My internet research tells me that people who are Re-interviewed normally get charged.

Can anyone provide any stats/beliefs/experiences about re-interview please?

Well perhaps I'm the exception that proves the rule! My FA made further fresh allegations in a second interview (which she had requested) so as fresh evidence had materialised, I was called in for a second interview to respond to these.

Incidentally it was far less alarming this time around, I had to make my own way to the police station, met my solicitor on the front steps, and we walked in together. I wasn't put in a cell this time and wasn't quite so scared, by then had got advice and support from this forum and so was better able to respond to the questioning.

I hope to get the same outcome as you Casehardened.

This 10 week bail time was being used to investigate, so looking at CCTV and talking to taxi driver, hotel manager etc. Do you think I will be able to see any evidence they have uncovered so far?

I guess I just need to have the same story as before, but I can't see what they can further quiz me on really, unless as you say the FA has changed her statement. Should I just not say too much, not be intimidated and not confess to anything I didn't do??

Generally best to just answer their questions with as few words as possible as they will be hoping that you will say something which they can then use against you!

Hopefully you will be going with your solicitor so remember you can request a private word with him at any point for further advice.
