  • Endless nightmare

Hello everyone, I have been reading you all for over a year now, which is as long as my situation has been going on. Unfortunately after being let down badly by my legal team I ended up with a hung jury at the end of the trial last week. I can't even begin to list the opportunities missed during that trial, suffice to say that the Judge with HER summoning ended up being my best defence. Now I need proper representation, someone who actually cares to look at the evidence, obtain the right expert reports and prepares a suitable cross-examination. Any help, suggestion or recommendation would be welcome. I am going to retrial in April (at the earliest) so plenty of time to organise a proper defence.

I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated and angry I am.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

There is indeed some black humour here, but at least you have an opportunity for retrial and know what the prosecution evidence is!

As to recommendations, much depends if you are paying privately or need to apply for legal aid but this link will give some recommendations from members regarding solicitors that they have experience of:

Thank you and I know exactly what you mean by that, I should remain positive and be better prepared, after all I survived the character assassination from both my barrister and the prosecution, can't be that bad....
